Stayed at Southernwood , Garden Lodge 7, a self, contained flat with no stairs and time restrictions. Cleanliness and proximity to ships were excellent. the added bonus of having takeaway options nearby was convenient. the highlight of our stay was being able to witness the spectacular morning feeding of the Red Kites. the lodges were cozy, well, equipped, and felt secure. Heating was good, and the location was adequate for our short weekend trip. a nice and comfortable experience.
Nothing negative to say :).

Free WiFi: The WiFi at the lodge was as fast as a cheetah on espresso. I could easily stream my favorite shows and stay connected with friends without any lag or interruptions. It made me feel like I had my own personal internet superhero!
Bedroom confusion: Miscommunication about the number of bedrooms was a bit surprising.

The nearest airport was so conveniently located, I could practically hear the planes taking off and landing from my bedroom window. It was like having my own personal airshow!
Oh, and let's not forget the charming holes in the bathroom walls. Such a quaint touch!

I always return to my favorite lodge. It's got everything I need. The staff found and returned my lost jewelry once. Free Wi-Fi, parking, kettle, cookware. No pets or smoking allowed. Can't wait to come back for my holiday.

The location, just 27 km from the exciting Newbury Racecourse, provided us with a memorable day out. The cozy lodge was well-equipped and felt secure, offering a comfortable and relaxing environment for our overnight stay. The highlight, however, was the breathtaking spectacle of the Red Kites. We were treated to a stunning morning watching these magnificent birds soar through the skies, creating a truly memorable experience for our entire family.
My children wanted a playground or outdoor area to play in.

The lodges were cozy and well-equipped, and the heating was on point. We felt super secure, and everything was so clean. Plus, it was the perfect location for our weekend trip to Newbury Racecourse, which was just 27 km away. And let me tell you, watching the Red Kites in the morning was absolutely epic!
The only thing we wished for was a better party scene. We were hoping for more young people to hang out with, maybe some social events or activities geared towards teenagers.

The room at Southernwood - Garden Lodge 7 was cozy and comfortable, perfect for a small family like ours. We loved having a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, and kettle, making it easy to prepare quick meals and snacks. The free WiFi was a great bonus too!
Personally, I found the lack of a toaster in the kitchenette a bit inconvenient. But hey, that's just my preference and I'm sure others won't mind it at all.

When the lodge is busy, parking can be an issue, especially when multiple rooms have multiple occupants.

It was the perfect spot for us teen party animals. We had a blast exploring Didcot, which is only 27 km away from the Newbury Racecourse. The lodge was super clean and cozy, and we had all the facilities we needed. Plus, the location was great for our late-night takeaways after a wild night out. We even got to see the Red Kites in action, which was totally epic!
The only thing that could have made our stay even better would be if there was a chill hangout area or a cool game room at the lodge. We would have loved to have a space where we could relax, play some games, and chill with our friends.

We had a blast with my friends visiting the Newbury Racecourse nearby. The lodge was rad, with all the cool amenities we needed. It was comfy and felt safe. Plus, it was super clean, which is a big plus for party animals like us!
The only thing we would've loved to have is a party room or a chill-out area where we could have some late-night fun. It would've been awesome to have a dedicated space for us young party-goers to hang out, dance and play some party games.

The nearest airport was conveniently far, so I could enjoy the peacefulness of the lodge without any noisy planes disturbing me. Cons: Oh, how I love finding cobwebs and dust in my room! It's like a surprise gift from the cleaning staff. So thoughtful!
